New Nursery Map Search Feature

At Look4Nurseries we are always looking for ways to make improvements and additions to the site to make it easier and better for parents.

As part of our business we do extensive research on how parents search for childcare, when speaking to parents about there choice in nurseries, one thing that kept coming up was distance , route and location. So how do we factor that in to the website……. A MAP.

We didn’t want to offer a useless, plain boring map, we wanted to create something that parents could use easily, yet be able to give parents the information the need to be able to make the decision to look around the nursery or not.

Our developers have been working hard to make sure that we could offer parents everything, and we think we have. We have now launched now map search feature, this allows parents to type in there postcode and nurseries are then displayed by distance.  Alternatively your browser  will automatically detect it for you, the nursery map will then drop a pin at your location and other pins at the locations of nurseries in that area .

Personalised Pages are highlighted a brightly coloured icon and other nurseries are located by a black pin. When you click on a pin or icon the address is displayed and then you can click through to the relative page for that nursery.

This was not enough for us as we wanted to make it easier for parents to find the best nursery for them, so we then also displayed the results from the map in our traditional grid system below the map it self.
